Hi my name is Ashla Rogers and I am a music instructor. I have been teaching music in the Houston, Texas area for over ten years. I currently teach in Conroe, Texas, offering in person and virtual music lessons.

My music experience began at the age of 8 at KD Music and Arts in Katy, Texas. As the years passed, my interest in music and playing instruments developed into a passion. I attended Houston Baptist University and studied music education with a focus in piano. After leaving Houston Baptist University, I began my professional teaching career. Along with teaching piano, I have had the opportunity to play and sing for various events, produce and record music, as well as compose piano music. I teach ages 6 and up from beginner to advanced.

In my piano lessons, students will learn how to read music, proper technique, scales, chords, theory, lots of repertoire, and much more. Overall I want my students to enjoy music, use it as an outlet, and not just an addition to a checklist. My goal is to find the most efficient method for each student, while simultaneously cultivating his or her own artistry.

In addition, I am an active member MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), TMTA (Texas Music Teachers Association), and I serve as the Vice President of NWHMTA (Northwest Houston Music Teachers Association) in the Houston area. These organizations are nonprofit and provide a plethora of activities that will keep the students practicing, motivated, and excited about music.

Playing music is a gift and I am looking forward to sharing music with you!

Let’s spread love through music together!!
